Rehearsals
Many couples schedule a rehearsal before their wedding, and I try to attend as many rehearsals as my calendar will allow. If I am unable to physically attend your rehearsal.. we speak either in person or on the phone about every detail of your ceremony, so that by the time of your rehearsal or wedding, we all know what to expect, and there will be no unplanned surprises. My couples are pleased that I provide them with reassurance and confidence, and provide them with a sense of relief, even if I am not present at their rehearsal.

As your wedding officiant, I offer enthusiasm, reassurance and experience, to guide and assist you while we plan your ceremony, to make the most significant day of your life run smoothly and professionally. Your wedding is a joyous occasion, and combined with my light-hearted personality and my calm, friendly nature, your ceremony will reflect that joy to your guests. I acknowledge, engage and include your guests before and during your ceremony, so they feel they are connected to you. Whether you are eloping, hosting an intimate ceremony with a handful of your closest family and friends, or planning a full-blown, all-out gala event...I provide you with timely and unlimited communication (phone calls, emails, personal meetings) as well as genuine and sincere service. As an experienced officiant, I have married many people in their backyard, living room, where they met, in a local hall, on a boat, at a barn, on a beach, at a public institution, a favorite restaurant, in a hospital, and at many large event venues. Your wedding is important to me, and it is my goal to make your ceremony more amazing than you had ever imagined. When you decide to choose me as your wedding officiant, a non-refundable retainer/deposit will secure your wedding on my calendar, with the balance due any time before your wedding. Upon receipt of the deposit, I will then begin designing your ceremony options, draft a few ceremonies for you to choose from, and together, we format your ceremony in final form. The majority of my ceremonies last 10-20 minutes, depending on what extra/special touches we include. As mentioned, I will also arrange to meet with you any time, should you need some answers.

I will then be able to quote my (very reasonable) fee for your ceremony, which includes drafting the ceremony of your choice, unlimited meetings, phone calls and emails, conducting your rehearsal (if needed), performing your ceremony and filing your marriage license with the Court. My philosophy is to not charge more than I would be willing to pay myself. After we speak or establish communication and hash out some details about your ceremony, we can then arrange to meet in person if you wish, or meet via FaceTime on facebook if a face-to-face meeting is not convenient. It is not unusual for couples to hire me, without ever meeting me until their wedding day. During our personal conversations, we'll discuss your ideas for your wedding, and I will offer some suggestions to enhance the ceremony such as special touches, traditions, rituals or unity ceremonies if desired. For those who want a "short-n-sweet" ceremony, you will find that I have many choices and suggestions to sprinkle some personal touches into your ceremony.
What's Next?
On Your Wedding Day!
Breathe....focus, be confident and be yourself. The person you are getting married to is still that same person you trust, love, respect, and want to spend the rest of your life with, so let yourself be present. Relax, and let your happiness be stronger than your nervousness. I like to arrive at your venue/location between 30-60 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. If at a private residence, I will be there 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony. During that time, I will gladly greet your guests as they arrive, give a comforting pat-on-the-back or a hug to my couple, and be available to assist with corsages, boutonnieres, props, etc. I also speak with your DJ and photographer, so we all work as a team to make sure your wedding is exactly as you expect and have instructed. As the time gets closer to your ceremony to begin, I politely ask your guests to turn their cell phones on silent or vibrate, so as to not interrupt the ceremony, while making them feel welcome and an important part of your celebration. Need tissues during your ceremony? I have them with me, to hand to you. After your ceremony, I will complete the paperwork/documents you have received from the Courthouse, and will file the marriage license, as required. You will receive a souvenir marriage certificate from Beyond Glam Ceremonies.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE: We may start off as strangers.. but through the course of the weeks or months that go by, after learning more about you both and your history and plans for the future, I become your loyal cheerleader.. and we naturally establish a relationship. I encourage you, I support you, I help guide you, I enjoy and share your enthusiasm for your wedding, and I feel the love the two of you have for each other. Then.. when I arrive at your wedding venue/location, I talk to some of your guests.. to chat with your family members, to feel the support you have from all of your guests, and to see both of you before you are married - I give you a hug, or a pat on the back. I see the nervousness - not of actually becoming married to this person whom you love .. but the nervousness of the details.. the excitement. Then .. the two of you look at each other.. full of excitement of joy and butterflies. I speak to you, and I speak to your guests. I hear the slight sighs of relief, or the two of you whispering, "I love you" that others don't see or hear. I look at you, and I have to look down, because that is the moment when my eyeballs get misty, and I feel and appreciate the depths of your emotion to each other, perhaps like no one else does.
